Rescue a stuck software project

Is your project going in the wrong direction or in jeopardy due to developers leaving? We can audit your project,

offer you options and intervene to save it. We can take over completely or work with your existing team.

If you have concerns about a software project,
contact HUB IT.
There are many reasons why software projects fail to take off. In some cases, the development team does not have all the roles and skills needed for success: analysts, designers, developers, testers and project managers. You need analysts, designers, developers, testers and project managers. In other cases, the team may only be familiar with one platform, which in hindsight may not seem to fit the current direction of the project. You may also have key resources leaving, be concerned about the risk to key personnel, the security or scalability of the system, or think you could have done better. HUB IT has assisted many clients in these situations. We start by auditing your systems. We produce a report detailing our assessment of how well the software meets business needs, the suitability of the technology used, scalability, performance, security and any other relevant issues. Based on this information, we typically propose two or three options.
A common option is to address the deficiencies in the system and allow us to take over maintenance. If there is still a lot of work to be done to make the system usable, we will generally present the options of 'exit the existing software' and 'start again' with the pros and cons of each. This may be practical in the short term if the system has scalability or technical limitations, but not in the long term. We will consider the immediate and lifetime costs of all options and help you decide what is best for your business. It is not uncommon for us to be asked to provide additional expertise to assist in-house developers. As mentioned above, building complex business applications requires many skills. An in-house developer or even a small team may be able to get you this far, but then you will need help. If this is likely to be the case with your in-house team, why not ask us to review it at the design stage to avoid an expensive re-build later?
